Established in Meiji 17. This unique inn prides itself on its robata-style cuisine, which makes generous use of local ingredients, and its 100% natural hot spring fed directly from the source. A free shuttle service is available from Nasu-Shiobara Station on the Tohoku Shinkansen (advance reservation required); it is a 20-minute drive from the Nishi-Nasuno-Shiobara Interchange and a 2-hour trip from central Tokyo via the Shinkansen. The special rooms on the top floor, featuring open-air baths, are also very popular.
